What an awesome feeling!

We have a friend with three kids who is going through a divorce and in the process of moving out of their house. I knew she had been having financial problems. After adding some more money to the envelope and praying over it, we took the money to her. She cried and said some days she has difficulty getting up to face the day and then something like this happens. She said she didn’t know what to say. I told her she didn’t need to say anything that the Lord did this. Then she said she hadn’t paid her last months Cilco bill and the new one had just arrived. I told her that the Lord works in mysterious ways and is always there. As I walked out tears welled in my eyes. What an awesome feeling! — Jan & Steve H.

A weeks ago I visited an old friend that was recently in a very bad accident. While filming shots of an ultralight (a small plane) for a commercial he was hit by it during one of the take offs. He almost died but instead he has had 7 vertebras replaced in his neck and has had to learn to walk, use his arms and hands all over again. 2 months later he only has 50% use of his right side and 15% of his left. He is a brilliant musician and artist and is fighting to get his life back so he can create again with the gift God gave him.
When this happened he had no insurance and was barley making a living. While in the hospital the electric company shut off his power because he could not pay. I wanted so bad to help him over the last week. But because of my own financial problems and struggles I was unable to do so. During Cal’s sermon on Sunday I could not help but thinking of this friend and praying how can I help him. Then Cal told us about the stimulus package. Wow! My eyes welled up with tears on the spot. God had already told me who to give this to. My wife and I mailed it to him yesterday.
Thank you God for answering my prayers!
